|Machinists tested for drugs ahead of exodus|

State railway operator PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) is having machinists and their assistants tested for drugs ahead of the Idul Fitri holiday. Mateta Rizalulhaq, spokesman for KAI Greater Jakarta Operational Area, said on Tuesday that the train operator cooperated with the the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) for the tests.
“We want to assure the public, that our crews are free of drugs,” Mateta said. Dozens of machinist and their assistants would be obligated to take drug tests before going to work during the holiday season. More than 2.4 million people are predicted to make the annual journey home to celebrate the Idul Fitri holidays this year.
